Minneapolis Convention Center

The 62nd Annual DFD Meeting will be held at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Located in downtown Minneapolis, the Minneapolis Convention Center has convenient access to hotels, retailers, entertainment and dining facilities, all of which are connected by the enclosed, climate-controlled Skyway system.

Oral presentations will be held in rooms on the first and second levels of the center (see floor plan here). Vendor exhibits, the Gallery of Fluid Motion and refreshment breaks will be held in the Ballroom and the main auditorium will be used for the awards ceremony.

Skyway System

The Minneapolis skyway system is an indoor, climate-controlled pedestrian walkway between the Minneapolis Convention Center and hotels, restaurants, shopping and parking garages. The skyways cover 72 city blocks, totaling over seven miles.

Dining

'Eat Street' and downtown Minneapolis provide a wide variety of eating options within walking distance of the Convention Center. Additionally, concession stands are located throughout the Convention Center.
